It Is Official!

The Sport Factory has met the rigorous requirements of USA Triathlon, the national governing body, to become one of a handful of USAT Certified Performance Centers in the country. 

Requirements include at least two Level II coaches on staff, one level III coach on staff, a Serrotta Fist Certified bike fitter, Dartfish video analysis for 3 sport biomechanical technique analysis, a 25m pool or an endless pool, testing services- VO2, RMR, and power, Registered Dietician, sports medicine/PT, strength training, and junior elite coaching services.

If potential facilities meet the base standards, USA Triathlon sends reviewers for a site visit to meet staff and ensure that the facility meets standards.

Performance centers serve as CEU locations, provide free access to 2012 and 2016 Elite National Team members, and provide performance testing using USOC protocols and benchmarks.

The goal of the Performance Centers is to help identify and develop promising triathletes for entrance into elite performance programs and teams, as well as provide high level athlete resources on the local/regional level.
